Earlier
this year, we co-hosted a free event with Helpers Community
Health Corps (HCHC)—Awareness Day. The
event was held in the Village of Kabong South Jos, Plateau
State, Nigeria, where citizens were encouraged to come out
for free HIV/AIDS testing. On a regular basis, tests will
be performed and information distributed on various ailments
affecting Nigeria, such as diabetes, sickle cell anemia,
and cardiovascular disease. The Awareness Day serves as
a community outreach program to benefit the young adults
and the community as a whole.
